The Sea of Galilee is the largest freshwater lake of Israel, rich in history and archaeology, dotted with several Israeli settlements and important religious sites all around the lake. The area or as it is called the Valley of Kinrot is known as one of the most significant sites of the Christian world where Christ met some of his first followers and performed his first miracles, Our tour will take us to some of those historical and religious sites.

08:00-Depart from the hotel/ship, drive north to the lower Galilee, our first stop is Mt.Arbel, a short walk will take us to a magnificant view point overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the valley of Kinrot.
Continue our drive to the city of Tiberias one of the four holy cities in Israel named after Tiberius the Roman Emperor. Tiberias became the seat of the Sanhedrin (the supreme Jewish court) during the 3rd century C.E., drive through the city and stop at Hammat Tiberias where we visit the ruins of the ancient Synagogue famous for its impressive mosic floor.
Proceed driving north along the Sea of Galilee to the village of Magdala, today an important Christian center, visit the ruins of the ancient Jewish village of Magdala recently excavated. Proceed to the nearby Kibbutz Geinosar where we see the ancient fishing boat called today Jesus boat dating from Jesus days, uncovered few years ago accidentally on the shore of the Sea of Galille.
We continue our tour driving to Mt.of Beatitudes, the traditional site where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount, enoy the tranquility of the site and the great view of the Sea of Galilee. proceed to the nearby church of the Multiplication at Tabgha, the traditional site where Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves of bread. A short drive eastward will take us the the village of Capernaum, see the traditional site of the house of St.Peter and the local impressive ancient Synagogue.
Travel around the Sea of Galilee and along the Beit Tzaida valley to the east side of the lake, stop at Kursi known as the site of biblical Gergesa where according to the New Testament Jesus performed the miracle of the swines. Continue southward passing some Israeli settlements including Kibbutz Degania which was the first Kibbutz in Israel founded in 1910. Stop at nearby Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the Jordan river. On our way back we travel through the Yavneel valley, stop at Alumot lookout to enjoy a farewell view of the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan valley.
