In the footsteps of the Australian/New Zealand Armed Corps in Israel in 1917 during World War 1, commemorating their heroic spirit and fighting against the Turkish Empire. An opportunity to tour and visit a unique territory - the north west and central Negev - the southern desert of Israel, view Israeli desert farming settlements in the region as well.

07:30 – Pick up from the hotel.
We drive south along the Philistines coast passing the cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon, on the way we view the “Ad Halom” bridge where the advancing Egyptian army was stopped by the Israeli army during Israel’s War of Independence.
We continue further south through Kibbutz Yad Mordechai (named after Mordechai Anilevitz-commander of the Warsaw Gettho revolt against the Nazis), this Kibbutz was heavily attacked by the Egyptian army during the 1948 War of Independence, visit the local battle site.
Proceed south east, passing the city of Sderot, we stop at Chetz Shachor monument overlooking the Gaza strip, commemorating the battles fought against the infiltration and terrorist activity from Gaza.
Travel to the nearby Kibbutz Beeri in the north west Negev, visit the ANZAC monument overlooking the city of Gaza telling the story of the heroic battles fought by the Australian and New Zealand forces in 1917, World War I.
Driving further south we arrive at the Shalom farming region in the north west Negev desert, visit Moshav Talmei Yosef with its magnificent farms of fruits and vegetables, tasting is available…
Continue and follow the footsteps of the ANZAC, drive to park Eshkol in the Negev, see wadi Gaza and the old railway coming from the Sinai peninsula built by the ANZAC soldiers. Proceed south east through the Negev desert and along the ANZAC trail passing Khalassa, Bir Asluj and Bir Mashash, we arrive in Beer Sheva the capital city of the Negev, visit the British war cemetery where fallen soldiers of the great battle of Beer Sheva, Oct/31/2017 are buried.
Travel through the city, view of the old railway station, end the tour with a visit to the Australian Soldiers Park in Beer Sheva.
Return to point of departure ending till 19:30.
